Whether you're booking a single wedge or a full bag survey, the session follows the same four stages in the same order. Nothing gets recommended before the rig has spoken.
Delivery Capture
A short set of swings with the clubs you already own, before any equipment touches the conversation. This tells us your transition speed, how early or late you load, and how your own tip section is currently responding — the baseline everything else gets measured against.
Tip Zone Rig Testing
Candidate shafts go on the rig one at a time. Each gets clamped and loaded specifically at the terminal section, and we log tip deflection, recovery time, and taper ratio independent of any head. Shafts that don't match your delivery get set aside here, before a ball is ever struck with them.
Outdoor Verification
Rig data predicts behavior; it doesn't replace hitting the ball outside. Shortlisted combinations get verified outdoors whenever Hartford's season allows it. If a session lands in December or January, we run the on-range step indoors and schedule a no-charge outdoor recheck once the course opens back up in spring.
Build & Sign-Off
Clubs are assembled in-house against the exact tip and length targets set during the session, then checked a second time before they leave the shop. You get a signed build ticket either way — whether you order that day or take the numbers home to think it over.
Rig First Means Fewer Wasted Swings
Testing tip response before you hit a single ball with a candidate shaft narrows a wall of thirty-plus options down to three or four real contenders. That means the swings you do take are spent confirming a short list, not fishing through inventory hoping something feels right.
It also means we're never guessing at two variables — your delivery and the shaft's tip behavior — at the same time. One gets measured, then the other gets tested against it.
Plan Around 60 to 90 Minutes
Single-club sessions run toward the shorter end; iron sets and full bag surveys take longer simply because there's more to scan on the rig. Nothing is rushed to hit a time slot — if a session needs another fifteen minutes to get the shortlist right, it gets it.
